The folks Bethesda at have given PlayStation 3 owners a reason to bristle; they announced today that Xbox 360 owners would have the first crack at two downloadable content packs for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Does anyone else find it surprising that Bethesda and Microsoft would choose to announce this before any information about the DLC has been released? I mean, we don’t know when the DLC packs will come out, or what they’ll include, but we know who will be able to download them first? Furthermore, Skyrim hasn’t even been released yet. So, it seems strange that the most urgent announcement they could make at this point would be about an exclusivity deal for an upcoming DLC pack that will be released at an unknown date for a currently unreleased game. Either way, PlayStation and PC owners won’t be completely left out. The deal will expire after 30 days, at which point the game will be available to anyone who wishes to grab it.
