According to Pacific Crest Securities analyst Evan Wilson, a redesign of the DS is already completed, although we won’t see it anytime soon. Wilson’s contacts at Nintendo said that the new DS is thinner, has bigger screens, “on-board” storage, and no GBA port. However, although the redesign is already complete, they expect that Nintendo won’t release it until DS sales start dropping.
Nintendo has recently denied rumors of a new DS , stating that “[they] are not suffering from the shortage of new ideas for DS.”
