Microsoft-owned 343 Industries has announced that the development of Halo 4 has been completed.
The game now is now in certification, franchise development director Frank O’Connor confirmed during a press event.
“We had a big piece of news yesterday back in the office, which is that the game is literally finished at this point,” he said. “They are handing it off through the various certification processes and that, and we’re done.
“It’s been three years of incredibly hard work by about 300 people.”
A title going into its certification stages means that the ESRB will play through the game and attach an appropriate rating for the shooter. After that, the game will go gold, which means it will be manufactured by being printed onto disks.
Halo 4 is currently scheduled for a nationwide release on November 6 th , 2012.
