Well, here’s a curious development. The 3DS is set to release on Sunday, and once users turn it on they will be greeted with the system’s first software update. What does this update add? A 3D music video by OK-GO. Though the video is pretty neat, what is troubling about this update is in the fine print. Specifically the part about how the next update will remove the video from the system.  Though this might not seem like a big deal, it shows that Nintendo has the ability to remotely remove software from your 3DS, which is a pretty big deal. Perhaps this is the anti-piracy measure they were talking about a few months ago? |
