The ongoing lawsuit between Activison and the former heads of Infinity Ward, Jason West and Vince Zampella, has been a bit of a sideshow in the gaming industry for a little over two years now. And, for the most part, gamers have stopped paying attention to all of Activison’s legal shenanigans. But today, a juicy piece of information squeezed its way out of the courtroom and into the eavesdropping ears of the L.A. Times . As part of the full disclosure process that must take place in any legal battle, mountains of internal paperwork have been made publicly available. Well, one particular document contains the details of an agreement between Activison and Bungie for an ongoing “sci-fantasy, action shooter” that will purportedly span four sequential games. The project, which is code-named “Destiny,” is scheduled for release in 2013, with the sequels hitting shelves in 2015, 2017, and 2019. The developer also plans to release DLC packs in the intervening off-years.

See you If all of this weren’t enough, the document contains one more interesting reference. Apparently, Bungie is hard at work on another Marathon title. The Marathon franchise hasn’t been tapped since the trilogy was completed in 1996, but no further details were given.
