It was rumored early this morning and subsequently has been confirmed that Wolfenstein has been delayed for two additional weeks in order to realize a simultaneous worldwide release. Here’s the word from the horse’s mouth, as picked up by Shacknews: “In order to facilitate a simultaneous global release window for id Software’s Wolfenstein, Activision has realigned the game’s release date for the week beginning August 17th,” the company told Shacknews of the Raven-developed, id-produced game in a statement.
