Activision Establishes the Call of Duty Endowment; Donates $1 Million to Help Vets with Employment

Activision is getting ready to sell over 10 million copies of CoD: Modern Warfare 2 before the end of the year. However, according to a report in the Washington Post, the gaming giant has decided to give back to the military.

The Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) has been established in order to help integrate U.S. military veterans seemlessly back into the workforce after they’ve completed their public service. We loved Activision CEO Bobby Kotick’s following comments:

“How do you expect people to actually join the military if when they leave the military they can’t integrate back into the free market they’re supposed to be protecting? The joblessness rate that [veterans] should have should be far less than the national average, not more.”

Thank you Activision for supporting our troops!
