Amazing Spider-Man Game Is An Epilogue To The Film

None

Those of us who are excited by the fact that Tobey Maguire is no longer playing Spider-Man will be able to have double the Tobey-free fun once the Amazing Spider-Man game hits shelves.

Today, Activision confirmed that the upcoming game will serve as an epilogue to movie. Just in case you’re unfamiliar with the definition of “epilogue,” it means that the entire game is set after the events of the movie. So, you should probably plan your game-playing for after your movie-watching.

The game and the film are both set to be released next summer, and will allow players to freely explore the island of Manhattan (which will probably be less exciting for players who actually live in Manhattan). And the game’s storyline was written Seamus Kevin Fahey, who is better known for his work on Battlestar Galactica .

A swanky new trailer The Amazing Spider-Man game is set to air during Saturday’s Video Game Awards on Spike TV. So set your TiVos accordingly.
