Apple revealed to the media that we should save the date – April 8, 2010 – for a special announcement from the company. According to the graphic being sent around (featured below), it looks like the news will concern iPhone OS 4.0. Some news outlets are reporting that multi-tasking capabilities may finally be in-store for the iPhone. I, however, have my doubts, as the iPad just launched and it too does not allow for multi-tasking. It seems more likely that a greater emphasis on gaming, via expanded interconnectivity and award/achievement features, and the ability to work with CDMA carriers are in the cards. We’ll cut through the conjecture this Thursday when the official announcement is made.
