Arkham Asylum Sequel Named

None

As one of the few examples of a licensed game that clearly didn’t suck, Batman: Arkham Asylum caught many gamers by surprise when it was released in 2009. The game released to both commercial success and critical acclaim, ensuring that we’d likely see a sequel to Rocksteady Studios’ entertaining Batman adventure. While the sequel was teased at this year’s Spike TV Video Game Awards, there wasn’t any information given about the game, besides what fans could glean from the short teaser trailer that accompanied the announcement.

Thankfully, due to the cover of the upcoming Game Informer, we now know that this highly anticipated sequel will be named Batman: Arkham City. Another interesting aspect of this magazine cover is that Batman was sharing it with Catwoman, who is now expected to be one of the villains in Arkham City. Everything else about this game is still currently a mystery, except that Warner Bros. says we can expect it to be released in fall 2011.
