Welcome to Persona Day everyone! Recently, Atlus announced four, yes four, new games in the Persona series, and today we cover them all. Up next on the list, a new Persona game for the Vita that is, believe it or not, a rhythm game. It’s Persona 4: Dancing All Nigh t, and that’s exactly what the game wants you to do. Wasn’t this franchise about kids being murdered by psychological demons at one point?
The game stars our protagonist Yu, star idol Rise, and a brand new character that looks like she works at Cluck-U Chicken. Their goal is to dance the shadows to death. Man… I wish I was kidding.
The game appears to utilize both the face buttons and the touch screen. Commands appear in a rhythm and you have to execute those commands by pressing a combination of face buttons, triggers, and directions. It also appears as if you can tap these commands on the touch screen like an Elite Beat Agents game. The music will feature selections from the Persona series’ well known soundtrack. Now we can all have never felt like da da da da da da.
Really, the best thing about the announcement of Persona 4: Dancing All Night is the trailer. Hearing the announcer try to fake English is just hillarious. Don’t miss it baby!
Persona 4: Dancing All Night will release exclusivley for the Vita in Fall of 2014. Currently, the game has only been confirmed for Japanese release.
