Axl Rose Suing Activision over Guitar Hero III

None

Apparently, not everyone is happy about Guitar Hero’s success as a franchise. Axl Rose, well-known singer from the rock group Guns N’ Roses, is suing Activision for using fellow Gun N’ Roses member Slash’s likeness.

Rose stated that Activision promised Slash’s likeness would not be available in the game as part of an agreement that allowed the game to include popular track “Welcome To The Jungle.” The agreement also prohibited use of songs from Slash’s follow-up group Velvet Revolver, although songs from Revolver were made available as downloadable content after the game’s release.
