Eidos and Warner Bros. Interactive confirmed today that Batman: Arkham Asylum has been delayed from its initially scheduled June 23 rd release date to an undetermined time “at the end of summer 2009.” As upsetting as this news is – the game is supposed to be phenomenal – it’s nice to see Eidos and Warner Bros. are reaffirming a commitment to quality. On a side note, Eidos is no longer a part of Warner Bros. Interactive, having recently been procured by Square Enix, so there probably was a lot of extenuating circumstances and complications in meeting the date. Below you’ll find the official comment: “Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment can today confirm that Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released at the end of summer 2009. This additional time will allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers.” |
