Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass Swoops into Play

Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass Swoops into Play

Batman: Arkham Origins is shaping up to be one of the major holiday releases this year, which means there’s going to be DLC. If a game’s going to be big, developers are going to release extra content to make sure you keep playing it. Which, in turn, results in the Season Pass. I know; it’s often something you don’t like to think about, especially before a game is even released, but the Batman: Arkham Origins season pass includes two exclusive skins, so it’s something to keep in mind.

As usual, buying the Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass saves you money. You’ll get 5 add-ons for your game for $19.99, while the normal price for the content would be $30. Seeing as how that gets you new character skins and two meatier add-ons with missions, it’s probably like getting one of the story-based packs free. The two skin packs included are the Infinite Earths Skins Pack and the New Millenium Skins Pack. The two exclusive skins are the Gotham by Gaslight Batman and Brightest Day Batman looks.
The two other pieces of the Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass are the ones that will probably lure people into paying $20 early. The first has already been revealed, and is “Arkham Origins Initiation.” This is a special scenario where players will get to be Bruce Wayne and take Kirigi’s final test to prove he is a master of ninjutsu and martial arts. The other campaign remains a mystery, though it will pertain to and enhance the story.

Both the Batman: Arkham Origins game and Season Pass will be available on October 25, 2013. It’s coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Windows PC.
Some around these parts have expressed concern about the quality of the upcoming Batman: Arkham game, but as the news keeps coming ( and coming ), we’ll get a clearer picture of the game’s finished product.
