Beyond: Two Souls Censored in Europe

Beyond: Two Souls Censored in Europe

Video game censorship is nothing new. Usually we hear plenty of stories about big name games being censored in Australian territories or something like that. However, both the game and territory in this instance are a bit surprising. The territory is Europe and the game is Quantic Dreams’ new cinematic storytelling experience, Beyond: Two Souls

Two cuts overall have been made to make the game to make it fall in line with a Pegi-16 rating. According to Sony’s Ross Alexander, this amounts to about 5-10 seconds of in-game footage. Alexander has said that the footage hasn’t been removed, simply re-edited in order to let the game fall in line with European ratings guides. He also assured gamers that this edit does not affect the game’s story at all, and that you won’t even notice the edits that were made.

Alexander did not specify exactly what scenes were edited. However, historically, in cases like this , it is either a scene of intense violence or sexually explicit activity.
