In just about one month, we’ll be playing the long-anticipated Street Fighter V . Many of you (those of you who pre-ordered the game, anyway) have already had a few chances to play thanks to the beta tests. All of the the betas were announced ahead of time, and it looks like we should expect another announcement sometime very soon.
It seems an unexpected patch has rolled out for the PS4 Street Fighter V client; a pretty big one, too! At just over 3 gigabytes, the only patch note included simply states, “Overall renewal for next Beta Test.” So I guess Capcom has about four weeks to announce the beta, give players another weekend of playtime, assess the data, and make adjustments accordingly. While that seems like a pretty tight timeline, we live in an age where day-one patches are now the norm. At 3 gigs, I’m assuming that this beta will feature additional fighters, but we’ll have to wait for an official announcement to find out for sure.
