Big Release Plans For Capcom

None

Lots of cool stuff is happening over at Capcom. Just recently, they held the Resident Evil fifteenth anniversary celebration over in Japan, and along with that came some announcements.

The big announcement to take away from the party is the upcoming remake of the two Wii-exclusive Resident Evil rail shooters. Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles will both be upgraded to HD and bundled together as the Resident Evil Chronicles HD Selection. The bundle will be exclusive to the PS3, and will support the PlayStation Move. We don’t know what territories the game will be released in, nor do we know the game’s release date, but hey, more zombie shooting goodness announced just in time for Halloween? Awesome!

In addition, Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City has finally been dated. The co-op multiplayer zombie survival mission based shooter will hit shelves on March 20th. You can get a special pre-order bonus, a costume for one of the six playable characters, depending on who you pre-order with. Raccoon City also has a special edition that will come out on the same day, which will come with an art book, a number of iron-on patches, and eight bonus weapons. Unlike the aforementioned bundle, this one will be available on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

While less related to zombies than demons, Asura’s Wrath has also been dated, set to hit store shelves in both PS3 and Xbox 360 flavors on February 21st.
