According to a Take-Two press release, Borderlands 2 will be getting a new Headhunter DLC pack soon. The new DLC, called Headhunter 2: Wattle Gobbler , will launch on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. No firm release date has been given yet, but if you read the title as a reference to turkeys rather than a sexual innuendo, you can probably assume that it will come out sometime near Thanksgiving.
Borderlands 2 continues to be one of the best-selling shooters of this generation. According to Take-Two, the game has shipped over 7.5 million copies. This is up from 7 million copies shipped at the end of July, and according to Take-Two, sales aren’t slowing down. If sales continue at this rate, it is likely that they will break 8-million copies shipped next year.
Take-Two also mentioned that more “high-quality” DLC can be expected in the future. While the Headhunter DLC packs are cool, they certainly aren’t as expansive as the last four expansion DLCs, or as game changing as the two character DLC packs. Maybe we will see yet another character DLC pack come sometime in the future? We will have to wait and see.
