Bungie issued a rather cryptic message to Destiny players via Twitter yesterday. The developer told people to check their mail. An Unknown Benefactor was sending out goodies in honor of the holidays.
This year’s gifts are about on par with last year’s random legendary weapon sent out to all. People who log in to Destiny and check in will find 15 Strange Coins and 15 Motes of Light. The Strange Coins are used to buy items from Xur every Friday, while Motes of Light can be used to increase equipment’s experience. A Rising Light Emblem will also be given to everyone who logged in between January 7-10.
To get your freebies in Destiny , visit the Tower’s Postmaster. He’ll give you the items. Make sure you log in before January 10 to get them, so you can get the Emblem on January 12. If you do need extra time, it’s okay. The New Year’s gifts will be waiting with Mr. Postman until February 17.
