Call of Duty: Bigger than Facebook?

Call of Duty: Bigger than Facebook?

None

We all know that Facebook is a social phenomenon that gobbles up plenty of time from the otherwise-productive person, but if you are looking for something that can really take some time off your hands…why not look into Call of Duty? At a press event held recently, Activision boss Bobby Kotick said that Call of Duty was a bigger social networking experience than Facebook, and he had the numbers to back it up.

If you average all the Facebook users together, they spend about fifty-five minutes per day on Facebook. However if you average all of the Call of Duty players together, they play the game an average of eighty-three minutes per day. Of course, these statistics are far from scientific and it should be noted that Facebook has a much larger base to draw from, which presumably includes plenty on inactive accounts. However, whichever way you look at the numbers, that is a lot of time spent in front of a screen!
