Sadly, there aren’t many cheat codes to use. Instead, players found a few easter eggs or exploits instead.

Hidden Music (Federation Day)

During the Federation Day level of the campaign, there is hidden music you can hear if you’re paying attention. After rappelling down the building, head downstairs into one of the offices. Eliminate the enemies so you can explore without interruption. As you run around the office space, you should be able to hear music playing. It’s an instrumental version of Survival, Eminem’s track played at the end of the game.

Alien Extinction

During the Extinction level, head to the motel named “Gil’s Lodge Motel.” Find the sign, and shoot the letters L-O-L in that specific order. Those letters will appear in the middle of the screen if the easter egg takes effect. Now you’ll see alien effects take place for approximately two minutes. You can repeat the process for as many as you would like.

Squad Points Glitch

The Squad Points Glitch in Call of Duty: Ghosts was an unintended exploit that allowed players to earn squad point at an accelerated rate. This was useful to players as the squad points acted as an in-game currency and gave players the ability to unlock weapons, cosmetics, and features much faster than normal. Infinity Ward tried to crack down on this problem, but there were multiple ways to use this exploit and most were hard to track. The glitch involved manipulating certain actions or conditions within the game to trigger an unintended reward of squad points. Simply aim down the sight, and your character will lean to the left. It’s a little confusing because you must be at just the proper distance to make it work. If you’re too far away, the arrow won’t appear; if you’re too close, the cover won’t work.

This is an entirely new problem in gaming that has risen over the past decade. Cheats used to be a fun game, allowing fans to become invincible or unlock their favorite weapons while completing a single-player campaign.
