Crysis For Consoles Digital, Cheap

Crysis For Consoles Digital, Cheap

None

A few weeks back, Crytek announced that the original Crysis, the PC shooter that set the graphical benchmark for computer games from 2007 to probably 2010, would finally be coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It would include some special tweaks to make it handle better on the consoles’ controllers and some new graphical effects, taking advantage of progress made since the title’s original release.

That said, Crytek had not announced that this version of Crysis would be available as a digital download through the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade at the bargain price of $20. Publisher EA, however, has confirmed this price point, as well as a release date of October 4.

Though this version of Crysis will be devoid of multiplayer, the full single-player campaign from the PC version is intact in all its free-roaming glory. This will provide console gamers with the chance to explore a lush island in the South China Sea, swarming with hostile North Korean forces. And maybe something more, but I’m not telling.
