Developer Crytek announced that September 12 Crysis Warhead will release in Europe, soon followed by a North American release on September 16. As incentive to preorder, players that take the plunge early will be able to secure the new title at release for $5 off the $29.99 retail price. The Crysis franchise, known for its insane use of computer hardware to reproduce stunning visuals, originally released in 2007. The second edition is actually a standalone expansion with a new single player campaign and various multiplayer online modes including Crysis Wars and 21 maps.
