Dark Souls III’s Greatest Foes on PCs Are Bugs

Dark Souls III’s Greatest Foes on PCs Are Bugs

You’re supposed to be afraid when playing Dark Souls III. The game is supposed to test you at every turn. But, this is supposed to happen in-game, as a result of enemies. Not because the game won’t run on your computer. Yet that’s exactly what some folks are experiencing.

Basically, Dark Souls III is having a rough launch on PCs. A post in the Steam forum for the game asking for crash reports has over 2,000 comments. For some people, it’s crashing during character creation. Others are seeing the game implode at the first bonfire. A few lucky ones can reach the Firelink Shrine before it goes down in flames. Burn!

Bandai Namco is aware of the issue and directing people to submit support tickets. For those who don’t want to wait for a patch, setting the lighting as low as possible in options and changing your class to Knight might fix things. Might, is the key word here.

Here’s hoping Dark Souls III gets fixed soon. This isn’t the challenge we wanted!
