How much do you love Overwatch? Do you enjoy it so much, you’ve decided which characters you’d want to love? Some fans already have, as a Loverwatch fan game is in development. It is a visual novel that will let people date Bastion, Genji, or Mei.
Lucy Morris, formerly with Ubisoft, and Damon Reece, formerly of Starbound , are the duo behind Loverwatch . The game began development before Overwatch launched and, if it ends up being completed and not hit with a DMCA takedown, will let players become a new Overwatch member and bond with one of these three heroes. Of course, other familiar faces will show up, but they’re not romanceable.
Loverwatch is still in development, but could be ready in a month or so. It won’t have any R-rated content and each character’s route will be about 60,000 words long. This is a huge undertaking and could be one fantastic fan project when it launches.
