Blizzard is on top of Overwatch updates. The company is constantly adding new characters, modes, and maps, as well as tweaking existing game elements to make sure everything is balanced and fair. Best of all, we can test them in action on the Public Test Realm. Which is exactly what we can do with Oasis, Overwatch’ s new map. First revealed at BlizzCon 2016, it’s now on the PTR.
Oasis is set in the Arabian Desert and is a bustling city. People who head into it will find their team attempting to take control of the area. But, be careful. There’s a lot of traffic here, and not being quick could get your character hit. Fortunately, there are jump pads that will let you hop to safety. Check it out now, so you’ll be ready for Overwatch’ s Oasis’ December launch.
I’m really excited about Oasis. The official description already notes some sort of secrets in the map. And I love the whole traffic mechanic. I mean, that worked well in the Onett map in Super Smash Bros and the Toad’s Turnpike track in Mario Kart 8 !
