The roster of Dead or Alive 5 continues to grow.

Recently, Team NINJA revealed that Jan Lee and Tina will be joining the cast. Though both characters have been DoA mainstays since the early days of the series, it was getting doubtful that either would be seen this time around, as we had heard no word of their inclusion up until now. It looks Then again, DoA5 certainly has one of the biggest casts of DoA history, especially with guest characters from Virtua Fighter 5 joining the roster.



Both characters were revealed in a brand new trailer that also showed off the game’s new tag team mode. Modeled off of similar 3D tag modes such as the one seen in Tekken Tag Tournament, this mode allows you to play as two characters, switching in and out mid combo. However, it also appears as if characters have special tag team super moves in tag mode which call both characters in to fight at once. In addition, characters seem to have tag throws, special tag-only moves, and more. The trailer seemed very scripted, but if even a fraction of this action gets added into the final game, tag mode will be a welcome addition to the DoA series.
