DOOM Confirmed at 1080p and 60fps

Whenever a AAA game is released, people always want to know how it’s going to look. Not in terms of graphics or design, but how it’ll look and run on their systems. People anticipating DOOM are in for a treat. Bethesda has confirmed the id Software game will run at 60fps at 1080p.

There’s even better news behind that assertion. That’s how DOOM will look on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Sometimes, a game can look better on one console than the other. Billy Khan, DOOM’ s Lead Project Programmer, says the game is using idTech 6, which will keep things equal on every platform. It’s also designed to help make characters and environments look realistic.

In other news, DOOM is apparently going to be difficult. Marty Stratton, the game’s Executive Producer, says it’ll be the kind of game where you can’t stop moving, because if you do, you’ll die. Better start honing your skills now, so you’ll be ready when it comes to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 13.
