Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition brings new content and features to the iconic fighting game series, specifically its fifth mainline installment. The Arcade Edition was released in early 2018, a couple of years after the release of the original Street Fighter V. This version acts as an update to the original game. This edition includes all original characters, twelve DLC fighters, new game modes, updates to the visuals, and much more. Here, we’ll take a deep dive into what the game is about and what sort of cheats and tricks are available to the player.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Premise
Street Fighter V is a continuation of Capcom’s legendary fighting game series. The Arcade Edition, on the other hand, is an updated version of the game with improvements. It enhances the original Street Fighter V with additional content and gameplay improvements. The game now features an Arcade Mode, absent in the initial release, and introduces Extra Battle Mode with special time-exclusive challenges, accessed with Fight Money. The update also includes second V-Triggers, that can be selected on the character selection screen.
The gameplay has the same classic side-scrolling fighting system from previous titles. Players engage in intense battles using a variety of characters, each with unique moves and abilities. Street Fighter V‘s major new feature is V-Gauge, which allows players to execute three new skills as the gauge builds from receiving attacks.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Characters
Characters are what the Street Fighter series is all about. The game relies on a variety of fighters that offer distinct abilities, moves, and combinations. In addition to the gameplay, the characters’ stories reflect their backgrounds. The Arcade Edition comes with all the characters from the original, which amounts to 28 unique fighters. Additionally, the game comes with new characters from DLCs. Here is a list of some of the key characters.

Unfortunately, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition doesn’t include traditional cheat codes or other built-in cheats. However, there is a trick to unlocking Hell difficulty in Survival mode, which we’ve included below. In addition, for players looking to unlock trophies, we’ve included those as well.
Unlocking Hell Difficulty
There’s an unlockable difficulty level in Survival mode. In addition to Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulties, there’s a mode known as Extreme or Hell. This mode is hard to unlock but these simple instructions should help with the process.
- Set the round amount to 5
- Set difficulty to Hard
- Get to the bonus stage without losing a single round
After this, the Hell difficulty is unlocked. Beating the Hell difficulty is a requirement for the Gold trophy Back From Hell.
