Dunk House Brings Basketball to Rocket League Next Month

Dunk House Brings Basketball to Rocket League Next Month

Rocket League is the game that just won’t stop getting better. Developer Psyonix has created one of the most universally loved multiplayer games of this generation, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Rocket League goes down as one of the best multiplayer games of all time. Psyonix has made back over 35 times what it spent to make the game, and part of the reason for its massive success is the way it’s been distributed and supported. The game was released last July on PC and PS4 (where it was a free PlayStation Plus download) and now, 12 million downloads later, you can play it on Xbox One as well. Psyonix is also working to get cross-platform play between all platforms rolling.

One thing that keeps fans coming back, in addition to the core gameplay hook, is the amount of additional content being added to the game. Players can deck out their cars with a variety of models, skins, and rocket trails, and new game modes occasionally appear free of charge. Most recently we got a hockey game mode, and next month we’ll be playing Dunk House. Dunk House is the basketball-themed game mode where players will score points by, you guessed it, dunking the ball into a hoop suspended in mid-air from a backboard. It looks like great fun, and it’ll be totally free. Thanks, Psyonix!
