EA Cancels Stephen Spielberg

EA Cancels Stephen Spielberg

None

The Boom Blox series may have been a minor hit on the Wii, but it seems it wasn’t enough for film producer Stephen Spielberg and EA to continue working on their long in-development “LMNO” project, as it was confirmed to be cancelled this morning. In an interview, Jake Kazdal, who worked on the game at some point while it was still in development said, “I don’t know exactly what was the thing that made it fall apart. I’m sure anybody you ask is gonna tell you something a little bit different, but it didn’t end up ever taking off.” He went on to add, “There was some rival game stuff that may or may not have come out of EA that was basically the same thing minus some of the stuff we were doing. There was just a lot of politics.” EA also released a statement confirming the game’s cancellation, but highlighted the fact that EA still maintains a relationship with Stephen Spielberg. Does this mean there is another project in the pipeline involving these two? We’ll just have to wait and see.
