EA Games Heading To iOS

Personally, I think that cell phone gaming is the wave of the future. Eventually all phones will have HDMI outputs, and we will just hook them up to our TVs to play the same big name blockbuster titles we play now. So it makes perfect sense for a studio like EA to ship one of its most anticipated titles over to the iOS platform.

Battlefield 3 will be coming to iOS sometime later this year. Not many details have been revealed about the game, but previous portable phone versions of Battlefield titles tended to be side stories to the plots of the main games.

EA will also be bringing Theme Park to iOS platforms. For those of you who are too young to remember, this was the big theme park simulator before Roller Coaster Tycoon came in and spoiled all of the fun. Still, it’s regarded as one of the best management and simulation games of the early sim days, so our guess is that it will create a whole new generation of addicts on the iPhone platform.
