EA’s recent financial statements were followed by a slew of company-wide staff cuts and layoffs, which did little for the publisher’s shaky reputation born out of the SimCity fiasco. Now, it seems, the layoff trend has reached the company’s internal analysis and reviews departments—you know, the department responsible for handling and responding to consumer feedback.
Oh, the irony.
Beyond this, we know little about the company’s most recent layoff; an exact head count, both of the department size and the number of employees let go, has yet to be given. In fact, the most credible bit of information comes from now-former EA employee Kat Bailey in a simple tweet: “Whole department just got cut.”
