Enjoy the Sun with Steam’s Summer Sale

Summer is here! The sun is shining, the sky is blue, and Steam is having a sale, so don’t act so frail; dive into your pockets and enjoy yourself this summer with Steam’s annual Summer Sale.

Starting at 10 am Pacific Daylight Time on Thursday, June 19 through to Monday, June 30, Steam’s Summer sale lists Daily Deals, Flash Sales, Community’s Choice and more on both its official website and the Steam client.

Games can (potentially) reach a sale discount upwards from 80 percent, cutting some large and expensive games down to only that of smaller and cheaper games.

The Daily Deals refresh a list of nine games every 24 hours, and the Flash Sales refresh a set of four games every eight hours. The Community’s Choice also lists four games for eight hours, but additional time is placed on top of that as Steam’s community undergoes voting for the next set of four games.

Additionally, another mini-event that’s started along with the Summer Sale is the Summer Adventure, which allows you to earn in-game items, community and team rewards, and free games by crafting Steam Badges.

Be sure to check the Steam Store regularly, as that certain game you’ve been waiting to buy could crop up for potentially a significantly reduced price.

The Sale’s current lists of discounted games have been detailed below. Please keep in mind that some deals may have already ended by the time you read this article. The list also details how much of a discount the selected games have, but the following pricings are in Great British Pound (all pricings will be your regional equivalent).

  • Dead Rising 3 (pre-purchase) – 25%, £29.99;

  • Day Z – 15%, £16.99;

  • Don’t Starve – 75%, £2.74;

  • Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion – 80%, £5.99;

  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (Enhanced Edition) – 80%, £2.99;

  • Divinity: Original Sin – 20%, £23.99;

  • XCOM: Enemy Unknown – 75%, £3.74; and

  • FarCry 3 – 75%, £3.74.
