Enjoy Xbox One Games on the Oculus Rift

The Xbox One doesn’t have a VR headset like the PlayStation 4 does, but don’t let that stop you. Go ahead and enjoy a more in-depth view of your games. How? With an Oculus Rift. While there isn’t official support yet, there’s now a free Xbox One streaming app for the headset.

The Oculus Rift Xbox One streaming app is actually an experience, rather than a full compatibility mode or game. This means you can stream your backwards compatible Xbox 360 and Xbox One games in three virtual theaters within the Oculus Rift headset. Depending on the option you choose, you’ll see your games on virtual screens or have them completely fill viewports.

Yes, this isn’t the Xbox One Oculus Rift support you likely want. But, at least it is a step forward. Maybe consider it as an option when you have other people over who want to use your TVs for other things? Or to show off in a silly way? I don’t know. I’m sure you’ll find a use for it.
