Fallout 4 is the eighth game in the long-running Fallout series and the fourth main numbered entry. Unquestionably, the Fallout series is known as the preeminent post-apocalyptic RPG since its first game in 1997. The series is famous for its dark humor, punishing difficulty, and freedom afforded to players. After being dormant for nearly a decade, Bethesda Games bought the rights and revived the franchise with Fallout 3. Fallout 4 is the third game in the series to adopt a first-person viewpoint and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Fallout 4 Premise
The beginning of Fallout 4 puts players in the shoes of the “Sole Survivor” – the last remaining resident of Vault 111 more than 200 years after The Great War. The game begins in the year 2077, with players given the opportunity to craft their character and then experience the events that unfold on the eve of the apocalypse. After taking shelter in Vault 111, the player enters cryogenic sleep and does not wake until 210 years later in the year 2087.
The game takes place 10 years after the events of Fallout 3 and is centered around post-apocalyptic Massachusetts. As the Sole Survivor of Vault 111, it is up to you to find your missing spouse and child. Players venture across The Commonwealth (the name given to Boston and the surrounding area) and unravel the mystery of their disappearance.
Fallout 4 Main Characters
Fallout 4 features the player character and a slew of NPCs. In addition, there are a total of 13 companions and other main characters in Fallout 4:

Danse: A Paladin from the Brotherhood of Steel faction.
MacCready: A mercenary.

Titles in the Fallout Series
The Fallout series dates back to 1997 and is a cult classic among PC enthusiasts and RPG fans. Initially developed by an internal team at Interplay made up of former Wasteland developers, the franchise was passed on to Black Isle Studios for the 1998 sequel Fallout 2. After Black Isle’s dismantling, the franchise remained largely dormant until Bethesda Games bought the rights and reinvented the series. Despite initially using an isometric perspective, recent Fallout games are in first-person POV.
Although Fallout 4 is available for PC and modern consoles, the PC version is the only version with access to cheats. The Command Console is not available to players in the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. One workaround for console players is to install mods that apply cheat effects. The following cheats are for the PC version of the game.
To enter one of the following cheats, players need to press the “~” key to open the Command Console. Once the Command Console is open, keying in any of the following commands will activate the cheats listed below. In addition to gameplay cheats, some codes spawn items or NPCs.
