EA has revealed that Maleb Mendoza has won the fan-made weapon submission contest in Dead Space 3, consequently putting the ‘HUN-E1 BADGER’ into the horror survival shooter.
Touted as a “devastatingly awesome weapon,” the HUN-E1 BADGER will fire flaming rivets into enemies.
“Getting in close quarters with the HUN-E1 Badger will cost an arm and a leg, literally. The HUN-E1 Badger is capable of shooting flaming rivets at all unfortunate enough to be in front of it. If anything is brave or stupid enough to get within arm’s reach of the HUN-E1 Badger it will get cut down to size.
“The Upper Tool consists of a Telemetry Spike and Conic Dispersal with ammo support, perfect for keeping charging Necromorphs at bay,” EA continued. “The Lower Tool is made up of a Hydraulic Cutter and Precision Adapter with a flame glaze to cut down and torch anything that gets through the initial shots.”
Dead Space 3 is currently scheduled for a release on February 5 th 2013 in North America and three days later throughout Europe.
