Final Fantasy XV is looking pretty sick. If you missed out on the new combat footage from the latest Active Time Report I’ll embed the video for you at the bottom. Cunning use of offensive magic and discretion came together in the showcase to show that FFXV will sport some tense, stealthy gameplay as well as explosive, cinematic real-time combat. We saw the operator switch between characters at will, a visually sleek weapon wheel for swapping weapons on the fly, and extremely lifelike AI companions that fought alongside each other, ducking and dodging from each others’ attacks and teaming up in clever ways.
As development nears completion, fans are eager for more information and an official release date. Square-Enix will be obliging us on March 30 with Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV – a special event in Los Angeles that promises to “…uncover everything Final Fantasy XV , with major announcements and surprises including the official release date for the game.” If you live in the area and this sounds like something you’d like to attend, you can RSVP for the event here .
