First Pokemon Sun & Moon Global Mission Is Now Live

First Pokemon Sun & Moon Global Mission Is Now Live

Pokemon Sun & Moon have been out for a couple of weeks now, but its metagame is just beginning to heat up. The Festival Plaza feature, which lets you connect with players across the world, also plays host to Global Missions. These are large-scale events that encourage players to complete a variety of collaborative tasks for in-game rewards.

The first Global Mission is a Pokemon collectathon. The goal is for all Pokemon Sun & Moon players to catch a combined total of 100,000,000 Pokemon before December 12 at 23:59 UTC. If the target is met, every participant will receive up to 2,000 Festival Coins, which can be used to buy rare items and useful services in the Festival Plaza. Even if players fail to meet the goal, everyone will still get 100 Festival Coins, so it’s worth signing up regardless.

To join the fun, all you need to do is head to the Festival Plaza by tapping the icon in your in-game menu. Go inside the castle at the center of the Plaza and talk to the attendant to register. That’s it! Everything you capture from then on will be added to the running tally until the event ends. Good luck, trainers.
