Fixing Final Fantasy XIV

Fixing Final Fantasy XIV

None

Ever since its release earlier this year, Final Fantasy XIV has been plagued with complaints. From its nearly-broken mission system to the counter-intuitive shop structure, there was plenty of hate to go around for the game in its launch form. However, Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada has taken note of all the criticism and agrees that the game in its current form is “not satisfactory.” However, a plan has been unveiled today to get the game back on track and win back the fans’ favor. First up, the mission system is getting a serious overhaul, with new job-specific and tutorial guildleves being added in the very near future. The combat system is also getting a major restructuring with a new targeting and additional commands coming soon. The merchant system will also be upgraded to include a search function, which means players will no longer have to wander around for hours to see where they can find a certain item. All these upgrades will be delivered through a series of patches that will begin in the coming weeks and will cap off sometime early next year.
