Microsoft consciously uncoupled the Xbox One and Kinect not long after the system’s launch, allowing people to decide if they do or don’t want the extra peripheral. People who opted out always had the option of picking up the sensor with a copy of Dance Central Spotlight for an additional $149.99 after the fact. In honor of the upcoming holidays, it’s getting a price drop.
The Kinect is now $99.99 . This deal applies to all major retailers that carry the Xbox One peripheral. It also still includes a download code of Dance Central Spotlight.
If you don’t have an Xbox One at all, then there’s now a cheaper way to get one with a Kinect. Microsoft had already talked about a new Xbox One Kinect bundle, but now it has decided to make it more appealing with a temporary price drop. This option, which includes the Xbox One, Kinect, Dance Central Spotlight, Kinect Sports Rivals, and Zoo Tycoon , was supposed to have a standard price of $499. It’s temporarily $399.
Microsoft hasn’t said how long the Kinect will be $100 and the Xbox One Kinect bundle $400, so don’t dilly dally on these deals!
