Kinect Pricing Officially Official

Kinect Pricing Officially Official

None

After months of speculation, rumors, and random retail postings, could it be that Microsoft has finally confirmed the pricing of their upcoming Kinect peripheral? Today, Larry Hryb, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, made a plethora of official announcements, not the least of which being an official price for the Kinect.

Confirming the months of speculation, the Kinect will officially run purchasers $149.99. However, that price will also include a packed-in copy of Kinect Adventures. Hryb went on to detail the rumored 4GB Xbox 360 Arcade as well, stating that the 4GB would be internal flash memory, the price would be $199.99, and that it would begin shipping August 3rd. Last but not least, Hryb also outlined a Kinect Holiday Bundle that will become available “later this year.” This bundle will include a 4GB Xbox 360, a Kinect peripheral, and a copy of Kinect Adventures for $299.99. Preordering either the Holiday Bundle or the Kinect itself will also net early adopters a token good for three exclusive downloadable levels for Kinect Adventures.
