The Week in Review news piece is a weekly article that summarizes and highlights the most important gaming related news and rumors over the past week.

Microsoft was in the news quite a bit this week, despite having little to do with the news firsthand. Early in the week, Walmart began offering preorders for a Kinect bundle. This bundle combined the peripheral with the purchaser’s choice of a launch Kinect title for $199, and a $30 gift card. In other Microsoft bundle news, a listing for a new 4GB Xbox 360 Arcade bundle was spied on Amazon’s German site. There was no word on the specifics of the bundle, such as whether the 4GB would be internal or a USB device or what else would be included, but the initial price was listed at 148.99 Euros ($189) and set for an August 20th release.

Tim Schafer announced that Double Fine is currently working on four new titles simultaneously, a drastic departure from the developer’s history of typically only developing one title at a time. Another difference is that these are supposedly much smaller games than their previously released titles, allowing the company to be more creative without taking as large a risk. Specific details about the games weren’t given, however, some of these titles were said to be seeing a release this year.

Another developer, Quantic Dream also announced their future intentions this week, with David Cage stating that they are currently working on two “very different” projects. No specific details were given about these upcoming titles either.

Lastly, while we still have no concrete date for the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, we did get a better idea of when to expect it. In an interview with the Official Nintendo Magazine, the game’s producer Eiji Aonuma stated “Early 2011 – that is what we’re aiming for.”

That’s all for this week, be sure to check back next week.
