Fortnite Will Be On Unreal Engine 4

Fortnite Will Be On Unreal Engine 4

None

Here’s the scenario. There’s a bunch of zombies and monsters attacking you. You may not have a whole lot of guns, but you have enough building materials to make a Minecraft player jealous. What do you do? Build a fort, obviously.

This is the whole concept behind Fortnite, a brand new game from Epic Games. It’s one third Team Fortress 2, one third Left 4 Dead, and one third Minecraft, and it looks pretty awesome. Hordes of the undead will constantly scrape at your doors, and it’s up to you to pick them off while reinforcing your fortress.

Of course, you’ll have more than just Zombies to deal with. There will also be gigantic hulking monsters that can break down your fort, and ghostlike enemies that can pass through walls. You combat them by finding more materials in the world to build onto your fort and designing new weapons to help protect yourselves.

However, the coolest thing about this upcoming PC project is the fact that it will be the first title ever to utilize the Unreal Engine 4. Look closely, because this will be the face of many games in the future.

Be on the lookout for Fortnite when it releases for PC next year.
