After several weeks of coverage surrounding the upcoming Forza Horizon 2 , its release date is finally upon us! In honor of its launch, it looks like we have a classic case of life imitating art (read on for more details)!
The next-gen title will feature a huge roster of cars (over 200+) barreling through some of the most exotic locales Europe has to offer. The staff of the Xbox Wire recently revealed that a live race competition will be held on some of the very same tracks depicted in the game beginning on Monday, September 15 th -18 th .
“8 teams representing some of the biggest racing countries in the world will traverse the roads inspired by the game in Italy, France and Spain, behind the wheel of some of the world’s most exclusive supercars, including the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, 2014 McLaren 650S and the game’s hero supercar – the Lamborghini Huracán.” Says the Wire.
By the sound of things; this event may be as close as drivers will ever come to playing a live-action video game! Some of the crazy challenges they’ll be tasked with include “…racing against a helicopter and taking on a high-intensity rally track.”
