Four New Character Reveals For Street Fighter X Tekken

Four New Character Reveals For Street Fighter X Tekken

Gamescom is warming up, and that means mssive dumps of info for gamers. On the Street Fighter X Tekken front, four new trailers were released showing three and a half new characters.

First up, on the Tekken side, we have Raven, the futuristic ninja who looks disturbingly like Blade when he was played by Wesley Snipes. Maybe it’s the shades. Raven seems to be a master of movement, employing several techniques that send him across the screen quickly. He seems to easily cross up the opponent, and has more than one move that works as a counter teleport.

Kuma is the second character to enter on the Tekken side, and he’s a fighting bear. He’s obviously a heavy character, and he looks like a blast to use. Oh, yeah, and he also has a super that makes him fart in your face. Oh Tekken…

On the Street Fighter side, the rumors have been confirmed: Ibuki is on the scene. She plays pretty similarly to her Street Fighter IV version, except she is even faster now and she has chain combos. More importantly, her trailer showed that characters have the ability to tag out in the middle of a command grab, which makes our next competitor very happy.

Hugo from Street Fighter III also joined in during this round of reveals, and he’s bigger than ever. Like Ibuki, he has his Street Fighter III move set intact, but with the addition of chain combos. Also, he can grab out of hit-stun, which is a huge buff for grapplers like him.

Personally, I can’t wait to play a team of Hugo and Kuma just to take up the entire screen with my girth.
