We reported earlier on a school shooting in Germany that was ultimately blamed in part on video games. An eighteen year-old man entered his former middle school and wounded thirty-seven people before taking his own life.
The issue has not settled yet in Germany and Gunther Beckstein, Minister of the Interior, is now proposing an amendment to German law that would authorize prison sentences for those who create violent game content.
Beckstein proposes penalties that would include one year in jail and/or fines.
