Ghostbusters Director Trolls Critics in Lego Dimensions

Ghostbusters Director Trolls Critics in Lego Dimensions

If you were hanging around this weird place called the internet earlier this year, you’ll probably know that some fans got a little, err, passionate in their dislike for the recent Ghostbusters reboot. Claims of ruined childhoods were thrown around, which, really… if Adam Sandler’s awful Pixels didn’t do that, then a few plucky lady Ghostbusters aren’t going to, either.

Anyhow, the latest Ghostbusters Story Pack for Lego Dimensions makes a cheeky reference to the scandal with a  Paul Feig Easter egg. The Ghostbusters director can be found locked in a cupboard in the Story Pack’s first level. Rescuing him with Lego Batman causes him to stroll out and say, “I wonder if they’d be mad if I remade ‘Back to the Future?'” Feig has previously joked about that exact thing, suggesting that he needs to give the most dedicated Ghostbusters reboot haters something to do for the next few years.

Hey, I can dig it. I think Martie McFly, played by the incomparable Kate McKinnon (of course) should go back to the ’80s with the help of mad scientist Leslie Jones. She could totally kick off the Riot Grrl movement early. Melissa McCarthy could play the bully role pretty well, too.

Hey, it’d still be better than Pixels .
