Today, Bandai Namco has sent out a press release not only announcing what platforms the upcoming God Eater 3 will be on, but also a set of new features fans of the series will be happy to dive into. God Eater 3 , which does not currently have a release date, will be launching for both the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
Bandai Namco has three new talking points as part of God Eater 3 ’s introduction. The first is the Ashlands, and Ash Aragami. The Ashlands are parts of the game’s world which have become inhabitable, and humans are living in Ports, or underground shelters. The Aragami here, examples given being Anubis and Ra, are supposed to provide extra challenge to seasoned players.
Next are Adaptive God Eaters. These are the supporting cast, and are said to be “closer to Aragami” than God Eaters of the past. They are also resistant to the harsh conditions of the Ashlands. Specifically pointed out is Hugo Pennywort, who grew up with the protagonist and will likely remain an important character.
Finally, New God Arcs. These are new kinds of weapons debuting in God Eater 3 . The Biting Edge God Arc is a dual blade weapon specializing in quick slashes and stabs. The Ray Gun has an element of timing, but if done well is very strong. New systems are also introduced here, the Engage System and Accelerator Trigger. Engage promotes teamwork and rewards players for sticking together in combat. The Accelerator Trigger is an undefined new passive ability that triggers when certain requirements, such as a perfect guard, are met.
