Not surprisingly, NPD has confirmed that Guitar Hero: World Tour has far outsold Rock Band 2 in the United States. GH: World Tour sold 3.4 million units in ’08, while Rock Band 2 sold a bit more than half that amount at 1.7 million. These sales figures fly in the face of critical review, which has pegged GH: World Tour at an 85 and Rock Band 2 at a 92 (Metacritic stats). Here at CheatCC we gave GH: On Tour a 4.4 and Rock Band 2 a 4.6. I guess it just goes to show how far brand recognition really goes. |
